The Smile Dental Academy’s Diploma in Orthodontics provides dentists with the knowledge and understanding of the latest techniques in Orthodontics. The Diploma in Orthodontics aims to the cover the fundamental aspects of orthodontics allowing clinicians to treat relatively straightforward orthodontic cases in practice with a combination of fixed and clear aligner therapy.
The Diploma will extend over a 12-month period involving 18 days of face to face teaching (incorporating lectures, hands on practical sessions, typodont course and case based discussions) with a guided self-directed learning component between formal teaching days.
This comprehensive course is divided into 4 Modules covering core knowledge (Module 1 and 2), clinical skills (Module 3) and enhanced clinical skills (Module 4). The course will be delivered by a team of consultant orthodontists with significant experience in hospital and practice based clinical practice.
